The percentage of energy costs ranges between 2% and 15 %.
According to our experiences, hoteliers and innkeepers don’t have enough time to think about energy consumption beside their daily business. Therefore they are about giving away 500 € – 11,000 € per year and per business.
These values correspond to 9% up to 54% of the whole energy costs of the tested businesses. The reasons for the high energy costs are various: High priced energy providers, old heatings and heating pumps and cooling plants or high energy consumption in the kitchen or guestrooms.

Our clients from the meat industry have an annual turnover from 0,5 millon € up to 25 million €.
The percentage of energy costs ranges between 1,25% and 10,85%. According to our experiences, butchers as well as all business keepers of small and medium-sized businesses don’t have enough time to think about energy consumption beside their daily business. Therefore they are about giving away 400 € – 50,000 € per year and per business.
The reasons for the high energy costs are various: High priced energy providers, old heatings and heating pumps and cooling plants or the use of energy wasters in the kitchen. These values correspond to 10% up to 40% of the whole energy costs of the tested businesses. The replacement of the old electric multi purpose plant can reduce the annual energy costs about 4,000 €.
The energy balance in butcher shops is often worsened because the cooling plants have no heat recovery.
The calculation in butcher shops is another problem. Without knowing the energy consumption values – during slaughtering or meat production – it’s not possible to make a detailed product calculation.

Some doctors may think that their energy costs are not more than 0,5% to 1,5% of the annual turnover and that it’s not worth analyzing these costs. This is only true for savings between 500 € and 2,000 € which are considered to be irrelevant.
We found out that the enery costs in most of the medical practices we had to deal with were between 1,500 € and 7,000 €. We succeeded in reducing the energy costs by 30%.
